We are pleased to announce the release of Juggernaut 2.00 under General Availability. This is a major release and all users are encouraged to upgrade. Note: The minimum supported Plesk version is now Plesk 12.5 and the upgrade process has changed.
One Click Installation
We've worked hard to make Juggernaut Firewall a full Plesk extension using the Plesk extension APIs. This will ensure that Juggernaut is fully compatible now and in the future. What used to take 20 minutes to install and configure is now done with a few clicks! This will make it much easier for organizations to do large deployments with ease.
We've intruduced a new tagging widget to handle any fields that used to require inputing comma seperated values. The IPv4 and IPv6 port settings have been merged into a single page allowing us to introduce the ability to copy settings two and from IPv4 and IPv6. Many tagging fields now support autosuggest (when inputing port numbers and network interfaces) and values are sorted automatically when saved.
We've made massive improvements to the reports area with over 60 reports being added. You can now generate web access and web error reports off of specific domains and every report is now actionable so you can click on an item to search though your logs for that item.
We have reports for the firewall, iptables, FTP/IMAP/SMTP/Plesk logins, modsecurity, Plesk panel, web access and web error logs. There is nothing better than being able to see which bots are crawling a site, what pages on a domain are generating 4XX status codes or what pages are triggering modsecurity rules!
We've added the pattern search and location columns to most firewall grids. This makes it much easier to search and distinguish where an IP address is from.
Now you can view security and RBL checks on the fly or have them emailed to you on daily, weekly or monthly intervals.
New Messenger Service WYSIWYG Editor
The editor used for editing the messenger templates have been upgraded. The new editor now supports full screen source code view with source code stying. You can now upload images directly though the editor where they will be converted into cdata URIs for use by the messenger service.
We've made many improvements to the many of the log grids. The web access log and iptables logs now have subgrids where you can view more detailed information about that entry. The iptables log now displays in and out columns so you can view exactly what direction and what interface an entry was generated from.
The upgrade process has changed. Now that Juggernaut is a full Plesk Extension it can be installed by using Plesks own extension installer.
1. Login to the Danami client area and go to Services -> Juggernaut Security and Firewall -> Download Now to download the extension.
2. Login to your Plesk Panel and go to Extensions -> My Extensions -> Upload Extension to upload and install the extension.
3. It may take a while to upload to your server if you are on a slow connection. You can view the installation process using the command: tail -f /var/log/plesk/panel.log
Important
If upgrading from the Juggernaut 1.X branch you do not need to uninstall it. Juggernaut 2.0 will take care of the upgrade process automatically and all existing configuration is saved.
